Mula Trace for Shopify: Terms of Service and App Addendum

The App Addendum for the Mula Trace for Shopify app, and the clauses we apply to the App. Provider: PT Nara Inovasi Indonesia.

Effective date: 1 November 2026 · Version: 1.0

Part A · Mula Trace for Shopify: App Addendum

1. What this Addendum covers. This Addendum applies when a business installs and uses the Mula Trace for Shopify app ("the App") through the Shopify App Store. It is read with the clauses we apply to the App, set out in Part B. If this Addendum and Part B conflict on use of the App, this Addendum applies.

2. Who provides the App. The App is provided by PT Nara Inovasi Indonesia ("Mula", "we"), Next Office, Menara Agrinas Palma Lantai 15 Unit 15-03, Jl. H. R. Rasuna Said Kavling VI No. 9 Blok X2, RT 9/RW 4, Kuningan Timur, Kecamatan Setiabudi, Kota Jakarta Selatan, Daerah Khusus Ibukota Jakarta 12950, Indonesia. Shopify is not a party to this agreement and is not responsible for the App.

3. Accepting. By installing the App and choosing to continue, the person installing confirms they are authorised to bind the business that owns the Shopify store, and that business accepts this Addendum and Part B. We record the version accepted and when. The App is for businesses only and is not offered to consumers.

4. Plans and billing.

4.1 Free plan. The Free plan allows 10 published passports, one per product. Variants do not count. Drafts are not counted. Taking down a published passport frees a place. Retiring is permanent.

4.2 Paid plans. No paid plan and no free trial is offered in this version. If paid plans are introduced, they will be billed by Shopify on our behalf under Shopify's billing terms, in the currency Shopify shows, and this Addendum will be updated first under clause 12.

4.3 Allowances only ever increase for an existing plan; we will not reduce an allowance you already have.

5. Shopify data. The App reads product information from your store (read-only, permission read_products) to create and keep passports in step with your catalogue. We do not request access to your customers, orders or payments, and the App does not change your store. We handle Shopify data under Shopify's API terms and our Privacy Policy.

6. Your content and passports. You decide what a passport says and when it is published. Importing never publishes. You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of what you publish and for having the right to publish it, including a maker's permission before naming them. Evidence levels shown beside a claim describe how far the claim is supported by documents you supplied. They are not our statement that the claim is true. Mula does not independently check your statements, and a passport does not establish certification or legal compliance.

7. Permanent addresses. A published passport has a permanent public address so printed QR codes keep working. If you take a passport down, its address shows that it is no longer available. An address is never reused by another brand.

8. Uninstalling and erasure.

8.1 If you uninstall the App, we stop reading your store. Uninstalling does not close your Mula account.

8.2 Erasure is manual. Nothing is deleted automatically. Within 30 days of Shopify's shop-erasure request (which Shopify sends about 48 hours after uninstall), a Mula operator, by hand under a written procedure, erases the App's copy of your Shopify product data and deletes your store's product links in Mula and the unpublished drafts made through the App.

8.3 Published passports stay, with their permanent addresses, until you take them down or retire them, or until clause 13 or 14 applies.

8.4 Data about the people who use your Mula workspace is kept as the Privacy Policy states. You can ask for an export of your passport data at any time by writing to team@mula.asia; we send it free of charge.

8.5 The Settings page in the App tells you, before you uninstall, that uninstalling does not close your account and how to close it. There is no automatic message to you afterwards.

9. Privacy requests from Shopify. Shopify's mandatory requests (customer data request, customer erasure, shop erasure) are recorded when they arrive and handled by an operator. For the first two, the request body, which holds customer and order identifiers, is kept encrypted until an operator closes the job, and no longer than 30 days after Shopify's request. A customer data request is answered to the store owner within 30 days from team@mula.asia. See the Privacy Policy.

10. AI features. Where AI help is offered it produces drafts only, never fills claim fields (composition, origin, evidence), and is never published without your review.

11. Availability and support. We aim to keep the App available but do not promise uninterrupted service. Support is in English, at team@mula.asia, on working days 09:00–17:00 WIB (UTC+7). We aim to give a first reply within 2 working days.

12. Changes. We may update this Addendum. We will tell you in the App at least 30 days before material changes take effect and record your acceptance of the new version.

13. Suspension and takedown.

13.1 We may suspend your access to the App, or take a public passport offline, if we receive a credible notice that content you published is unlawful or infringes someone's rights, if the law or a competent authority requires it, or if you are in material breach of this Addendum or Part B. We act no further than the notice, the law or the breach requires.

13.2 We tell you, at the address of your Mula workspace, what we did and why, before we act where we can and otherwise promptly afterwards, except where the law forbids us from telling you. You can answer at team@mula.asia, and we put a passport back when the reason for taking it offline no longer applies.

13.3 A passport taken offline keeps its permanent address. The address shows that the passport is no longer available; it is never reused by another brand.

14. End of the service.

14.1 If we decide to end the App or the public passport service, we give you at least 90 days' notice in the App and at the address of your Mula workspace before the service ends.

14.2 During that notice period you can ask for an export of your passport data by writing to team@mula.asia, as clause 8.4 says. We send it within the notice period, and we delete nothing of yours before the notice period ends.

14.3 After the service ends, the permanent address of each published passport keeps answering. It shows the page saying the passport is no longer available, so that printed QR codes still lead somewhere rather than to an error. We keep those addresses answering for at least 12 months after the service ends. Addresses are never reused by another brand.

15. Regulatory position. Mula provides software. For the products you record, you remain the economic operator, manufacturer, importer or distributor that the law addresses; Mula is not the economic operator under the EU Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) or any similar law. A Mula passport is not, today, the EU digital product passport required by any delegated act under the ESPR, and it does not become one because it is published through the App. Readiness features in the App show which fields are filled and which evidence is recorded; they are not a statement that a product, a passport or your business meets any law or standard. Nothing in the App, including evidence tiers, field explanations and readiness features, is legal advice. For questions about the rules that apply to your products, consult your own adviser.

16. Law and disputes. This Addendum and Part B are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Any dispute arising from or in connection with this Addendum, Part B or the App is brought exclusively before the District Court of South Jakarta (Pengadilan Negeri Jakarta Selatan), Republic of Indonesia, and the parties choose the registry of that court as their legal domicile for this agreement. This does not take away protection that mandatory law of the country where your business is established gives you and that cannot be excluded by agreement.

17. Contact. PT Nara Inovasi Indonesia · Next Office, Menara Agrinas Palma Lantai 15 Unit 15-03, Jl. H. R. Rasuna Said Kavling VI No. 9 Blok X2, RT 9/RW 4, Kuningan Timur, Kecamatan Setiabudi, Kota Jakarta Selatan, Daerah Khusus Ibukota Jakarta 12950, Indonesia · team@mula.asia.

Part B · Clauses we apply to the App

These clauses apply to the App and are read with the Addendum in Part A.

  • Content responsibility. You (the merchant) are responsible for the truth, accuracy and lawfulness of content that reaches any public surface, and warrant that you hold the rights to upload it.
  • Evidence tiers describe documentation, not truth. A tier states how far a claim is supported by documents supplied. We look at the record, not the object, and do not inspect goods.
  • We are not a certification body. No passport, readiness score, badge or figure is a certification, assurance, audit opinion or statement of conformity with any law or standard.
  • AI features produce drafts only. AI never produces a figure, fills a claim field, certificate reference, maker attribution or attestation.
  • No AI training. We do not use merchant content, maker records or scan events to train AI models.
  • Maker data. Attestation is the permission record; withdrawal takes effect on the public passport within 24 hours; the name of a person under 18 is never displayed.
  • Acceptable use. You must not: upload content you have no right to upload; record a maker under 18 by name; attest a maker without holding that person's permission, or keep an attestation active after permission is withdrawn; present any Mula output as certification, verification, assurance or a comparison with another named brand; scrape, mirror or systematically extract other brands' passports, or attempt to re-identify anyone from scan events; circumvent access controls or rate limits; or use the App for any unlawful purpose or in breach of the Privacy Policy.
  • Warranties and liability. We provide the App with reasonable skill and care; beyond that, and to the extent Indonesian law allows, the App is provided as it is, without warranty that it is complete, error-free or uninterrupted, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, and these limits do not apply to loss caused by fraud or wilful misconduct or where Indonesian law does not permit them.
  • As is, as available. To the extent Indonesian law allows, the App and everything it produces are provided as they are and as available, and we give no other warranty, express or implied, including of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. In particular we do not warrant: that any draft produced with AI help, in this version or a later one, is accurate, complete or fit for use without your review; that an evidence tier is more than a description of the documents supplied; that the data you enter, or data read from your store, is accurate; or that a passport, a readiness feature or any other output meets any law, standard or regulatory requirement. You are responsible for reviewing every draft and every passport before you publish it.
  • Limit of liability. To the extent Indonesian law allows, our total liability to you for all claims arising from or in connection with the App and this agreement, in contract, tort or otherwise, is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us for the App in the 12 months before the claim arose and USD 100. While the App is free, that amount is USD 100. This limit does not apply to liability that cannot be limited under Indonesian law, or to loss caused by fraud or wilful misconduct, and it is read with the indirect-loss exclusion above.
  • Your indemnity. You are responsible for the product information, sustainability and other claims, maker names and other content you record or publish through the App, and for your compliance with the law that applies to your products and your business, including consumer-protection and environmental-claims rules. If a third party, including a regulator, brings a claim against us because of that content or that breach of law, you will compensate us for the loss, costs and reasonable legal fees that result, provided we tell you of the claim promptly and let you take part in the defence. This indemnity does not cover loss caused by our own breach, fraud or wilful misconduct.
  • Indonesian and English text. The English text is the text in force. An Indonesian version, if written, is a translation for convenience and uses the formal "Anda".
