Why we never predict the outcome

Every preparation vendor gets asked the same question: so will we get it. Here is our answer, and the reasoning behind refusing to give you a better sounding one.

We are not in the room

The finding is made by an independent assurance provider reading your evidence against the requirements that apply to you. We are not that provider, we are not accredited by anyone to be, and we have no standing to anticipate what they will conclude. A vendor's confidence about somebody else's decision is a sales tactic, not information, and you can tell the difference by asking what it is based on.

The words we will not use

We do not tell you that you are ready for an audit, that you will get through it, or that anything about the result is assured. Those phrases are prohibited in our own copy, in both languages, and the prohibition is enforced on our side rather than left to a writer's mood on a Friday. If you ever see one on a Mula page, it is a mistake and we would like to hear about it.

What you get instead

A requirement-by-requirement picture. Which ones you can answer today. Which you can answer with evidence you can produce for free this month. Which need something that costs money, with the cost named. And which do not apply to you at all, with the reason recorded. Counts rather than percentages, plus the list of things that would have to change before an application is even possible.

Why this is worth more

A promise you cannot check is worth nothing on the day the provider arrives. A folder of dated evidence organised against the requirements is worth exactly the same on that day whether or not anybody ever promised you anything. That folder is the product. The confidence is not for sale, and we would not be able to honour it if it were.

The essentials

  • An independent assurance provider makes the finding. We are not that provider.
  • The prohibited phrases are blocked on our side, in both languages.
  • The organised folder of dated evidence is the product. Confidence is not for sale.

Where we stand

Mula is not affiliated with, endorsed by, accredited by, or certified by B Lab. B Corp™ and B Lab™ are trademarks of B Lab. Mula helps a brand get its own evidence in order. Mula does not assess, does not certify, and cannot predict an audit outcome. We never show the B Corp™ logo, because it belongs to companies that hold the certification. Where other frameworks are named on these pages, Mula is not affiliated with their standard setters or certification bodies either.
