Prepare evidence for a passport review
A product description and a supplier document serve different purposes. Keep the connection between a claim, its source and the item it covers visible.
Give each claim a source
For each material or process statement, record the source, issuer, date and product or batch covered. Distinguish a supplier statement from an independent assessment. If the source does not support a percentage or an origin claim, leave that detail unresolved.
Separate public and private material
Check whether you have permission to publish the document, image or supplier name. Keep personal contact details, commercial terms and unrelated records out of the public preparation set. Permission to use a photograph in a catalogue does not by itself establish permission to publish every attached document.
Review a draft against originals
Read the proposed public wording alongside the original records. Check units, dates, variant coverage and missing values. Record corrections and who accepted them. A useful review identifies uncertainty; it does not turn an unsupported statement into a verified fact.
Keep publication a deliberate decision
The planned Shopify workflow should keep draft review and permission to publish explicit. Agree who approves the final wording and how later corrections are handled. Do not treat a product import, a saved draft or a successful demonstration as authorisation to publish or proof of regulatory compliance.
The essentials
- Record source, date and coverage for each claim.
- Check permission before publishing supporting material.
- Approve the public wording separately from collecting data.

Where we stand
Mula is independent of Shopify. The Shopify integration is in development. These guides describe preparation you can do now and the intended review process; they do not confirm installation or live synchronisation.
